Stacy Hostetter grew up in Bozeman graduating with honors from Montana State University in Art Education and English Literature. She was a wedding designer, a floral designer, and had artwork featured on the White House Christmas tree and in Country Living Magazine before turning her attention to the wonderful, collaborative world of theater. For the last 25 years Stacy has been helping to bring characters and stories to life professionally as part of the local theater scene as a drama/art classroom and club teacher (1996-2010), the founder/artistic director of Kaleidoscope Youth Theater (2000-2019), and as part of the Montana Shakespeare in the Parks creative team, where she has served since 2002 in many positions, most recently as a costume shop artist/craftsperson in the summers and a prop designer the rest of the year. Stacy is also a playwright with over 60 original plays/musicals and has directed (and designed and created sets, costumes, and props) for close to 300 productions performed for community audiences. When not working on theater projects, Stacy can be found selling antiques, dreaming of having time to adapt some of her plays into illustrated children’s books, buried in a good novel, or hanging out with her three amazing grandkids.
