Original Music Andrew Hansen

Andrew Hansen has been writing music since he was 7. His music was first heard in the MSU Underground Theater production of "Minute Waltz" in 1990 and in MSU student films. Montana audiences have heard his work in Shakespeare In The Parks over the past several years, including songs performed in productions of SHE STOOPS TO CONQUER, THE TEMPEST, MACBETH, LOVES LABORS LOST, and most recently in the school tour of AS YOU LIKE IT. Andy has lived in Chicago since 1998 and has composed music for over a hundred productions in the Chicago region. He has been nominated 24 times for Chicago's Joseph Jefferson Award, in both Original Music and Sound Design categories. In 2011, he won the award for Original Music for TO MASTER THE ART, a play directed and co-authored by Montana Shakespeare in the Parks Associate Artistic Director William Brown.
